My story
Building from problems I know firsthand.
My projects often grow out of needs I encounter firsthand. Living with other students meant keeping track of shared meals, groceries, and bills, so I built Messio to make those routines easier to manage. It continues to evolve through feedback from the people who use it.
During my undergraduate research on cervical cancer, I worked on a Pap-smear image dataset and developed a portal for specialist doctors to annotate images independently. I hosted the annotation workflow on my Kubernetes homelab, taking responsibility for both the application and the infrastructure behind it. That portal later evolved into VeraLabel. Our team’s deep learning research led to PapLens, an application I built so people can run inference with our cervical-cytology deep learning models and inspect the resulting attention maps.
Across these projects, I’ve built interfaces, APIs, data workflows, and the infrastructure that supports them. My computer-vision research adds experience with datasets, model evaluation, and integrating model outputs into usable software.
